RENEWABLE ENERGY PRODUCTION

As a responsible service provider, we advise households and businesses to find ways of reducing their energy consumption, before investing in any energy production system. Finding ways to produce energy efficiently (AND cost effectively) is a pointless exercise when energy saving interventions have not been fully explored.  Before investing in photo-cells or wind and water power generation, make sure you have reduced your energy consumption by at least a third to half of your current use.

a. PHOTO-VOLTAIC POWER GENERATION

Solar electricity generation offers clients some independence from the national power grid. Current solutions do, however, require a relatively large capital investment. Increases in electricity tariffs and technological advances will make these systems more viable in the short to medium term. Demand for these systems is based on consumers' desire to have a smaller environmental footprint, and once again, ISS has a wide range of distributors and products at its disposal, to suit a wide range of client needs.

b. WIND TURBINE POWER GENERATION

Wind Turbines are an efficient means of generating power and can increase independence from the national grid, particularly when used concurrently with Photo-Voltaic and other systems, but the installation location is critical to determining whether the investment is viable in terms of power return.  But this solution will not work for all Clients, especially if their location is not exposed to sufficient wind.  ISS Consultants will advise customers whether to invest in this technology or in others more suited to their situation.

c. WATER TURBINE POWER GENERATION

Water Turbines have application for households and businesses located close to fast moving watercourses. Even then, viability has to be determined on a case by case basis, as again many varying factors would have to be assessed.
